What's the difference between BetterCarDeals and a free car broker?
Free isn't always free.
Many "free" car buying services are compensated by dealerships or other parties involved in the transaction. Because their income may depend on completing a sale, or on the commercial arrangements they have with dealers, their interests aren't always perfectly aligned with yours.
At BetterCarDeals, you are our client, not the dealership. We charge a fixed $499 fee regardless of the vehicle you buy or the purchase price. That means we have no financial incentive for you to pay more for a vehicle or accept a deal that isn't in your best interest.
Our goal is simple: negotiate the strongest overall deal possible and give you independent advice throughout the buying process.
How much can you save me?
Every deal is unique, but our service is built around one goal, getting you the best possible price. We negotiate with dealerships on a regular basis and use our buying power to access discounts and incentives that are often unavailable to one-off retail buyer
Do you help with finance or trade-ins?
Yes. We can help you understand what your current vehicle is really worth by leveraging our industry connections and access to wholesale market insights. We can also guide you through your finance options, helping you avoid common mistakes that can end up costing thousands over the life of a loan
Do I buy the car from BetterCarDeals?
No. You always purchase the vehicle directly from the dealership. Once we've negotiated the best possible deal, the dealership prepares the purchase contract. Our team reviews the contract to ensure everything is correct before sending it to you. If you're happy to proceed, you simply sign the dealership contract, pay the dealer's deposit (typically between $500 and $2,000), and collect your new vehicle when it's ready.
How much does your service cost?
Our service is a fixed $499, with no hidden fees or commissions. You'll know exactly what you're paying before you commit, regardless of the vehicle you purchase.
